Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said no decision has been taken regarding dialogue with any political party regarding the upcoming general elections. 

He also rejected the matter regarding dialogue on mediation of the United Nations.

Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, was talking to journalists after attending a programme at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital today (June 7).

The minister said "It's our problem and we will discuss it among ourselves and solve the problems. I don't think the country has gone to such a state that we need the mediation of the United Nations.

"We have not yet decided to hold any bilateral talk with BNP", Quader said.

"Election commission and election management in the country are democratic by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's initiative. Our democracy is now very mature. Democracy is not suddenly established overnight. Institutionalizing democracy takes time", the minister said.

Obaidul Quader also added, "The solution to any crisis in the country is our constitution".
