Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) including 37 other like-minded parties, will hold a grand public rally in the capital on July 27 as part of their one-point demand -resignation of the government.

The party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement from a youth rally held at Uhrawardy Uddyan in the capital today.

Earlier, leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies gathered at Suhrawardy Uddyan in the capital with small processions to join its youth rally this afternoon.

Apart from the capital, people of Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal from the surrounding districts reached the venue to join the rally.

The rally started at 2 pm.

The party said the programme is to inspire the young generation for their one-point demand - "holding the next polls under a caretaker government."

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will join the rally as chief guest and will address the rally for the youths.
