The ruling Awami League (AL) led 14-party alliance will hold a rally in Dhaka on October 30.

Amir Hossain Amu, convenor of the 14-party alliance, came up with the announcement after a meeting of the alliance held at his Eskaton House in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The national election will be held in line with the constitution and the 14-party alliance will join the election, said Amu, also spokesperson of the alliance.

The 14-party alliance is ready to thwart any ill-attempt by the local and international quarters, he said, adding that the democratic trend is continuing in the country and it needs to be continued.    

Condemning the genocide taking place in Palestine, Amu urged the United Nations to take measures to stop the massacre.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Jatiya Party (Manju) Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju and Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon and General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Huq Inu, and Bangladesh Tarikat Federation Chairman Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari attended the meeting among others.
