Jatiya Party Secretary General Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu has said that the party will contest the general election against 300 parliamentary seats.

Chunnu came up with the declaration while addressing a press conference at the party’s Banani central office on Wednesday (November 22).

He said, “We have almost taken all-out preparation to take part in the election. We have been calling for congenial atmosphere for holding a credible national election where people cast their votes without fear."

“We have been assured by the Election Commission and other stakeholders that the election will be held in a free, fair, and acceptable manner. Based on their commitment, our party Chairman GM Quader decided to join the polls."

Besides, ahead of the 12th National Assembly elections, the interviews of Jatiya Party (JPA) nominees will begin from Friday.

The information was disclosed through a press release sent to the media.
