Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader has appointed his wife Sherifa Quader as a presidium member of the party.

Mahmud Alam, joint office secretary of the party, confirmed the matter on Tuesday (December 12).

He said, “Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has appointed Sherifa Quader, the party chairman’s adviser and president of the Jatiya Sanskritik Party, as a presidium member by virtue of the powers given in the party constitution.”

The Jatiya Party has nominated Sherifa Quader to contest the upcoming 12th parliamentary election from Dhaka-18 constituency.

She is a member of parliament (MP) from the reserved women seat-45.
