The ruling Awami League will bring out a procession in the capital Dhaka on December 18, marking Victory Day.  

The party on Friday sent letters to the divisional commissioner and returning officer of Dhaka seeking permission in this regard.

In the letter signed by Riaz Uddin Riaz, office secretary of Dhaka South City Awami League, mentioned that the Victory Day procession will be brought out from the Institution of Engineers’ Bangladesh around 2:00 pm on December 18 and it will end at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 via Shahbagh, Elephant Road and Science Laboratory intersections.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader will lead the procession as chief guest while the party’s central leaders, cabinet and parliament members and leaders of its alliance will also take part in the procession.
