The election inquiry committee has issued a show-cause notice to Shamsul Hoque Tuku, Awami League nominated candidate for Pabna-1 constituency, for breaching the electoral code of conduct.

District and Sessions Judge Ikramul Kabir, head of the committee, sent the notification on Wednesday (December 20) afternoon.

According to notification, Tuku was asked to explain his action within two working days.

The notice also mentioned that Tuku during a meeting with teachers of different local government and private educational institutions at his home on December 14 sought votes for the Awami League.
