Two separate complaints were filed today with the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) against total 70 people including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina over alleged Ashulia genocide, where at least six unarmed people were killed and their bodies were burned to conceal evidence.
Advocate Muhammad Huzzatul Islam Khan filed the two complaints, one on behalf of the family of victim Sazzad Hossain Sazal and another on behalf of the family of victim As Sabur.
"We have brought allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity under sections 3(2), 4(1) (2) of The International Crimes (TRIBUNALS) Act, 1973, against Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Khamal, Salman F Rahman, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Md Abdullahil Kafi and 64 others," Advocate Khan told BSS.
Shahina Begum, mother of Sazzad Hossain Sazal, filed one complaint against total 40 accused, while Md Rizwanul islam, brother of As Sabur, filed the other complaint against 30 accused.
