A Dhaka court today (September 17) granted a three-day remand for Workers Party of Bangladesh President and former minister Rashed Khan Menon in the attempted murder case of BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the order as investigating officer of the case produced him before the court today with a five-day remand prayer.
 
According to the case statement, on December 15, 2018, a gang of miscreants equipped with sticks, rods, sharp weapons and cocktails swoop on Mirza Abbas and some BNP leaders during the election campaign in front of Segunbagicha kitchen market, leaving them critically injured.
