Some coordinators of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement on Monday lodged a criminal case against 391 named leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and 1,000 others anonymously, accusing them of participating in attacks on students during the mass uprising.

The coordinators lodged the case at Shahbagh Police Station where Sheikh Hasina has been made the prime accused. After lodging the complaint, coordinator Mahin Sarkar said, “I, on behalf of students, filed this case.”

He termed the 15 July a dark day, as BCL and other associate bodies of Awami League carried out open attacks on the students of Dhaka University leaving a number of male and female students fatally injured.

“BCL leaders and supporters attempted to kill me. I was injured too,” he wrote in the complaint.

Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud said that the full success of the revolution is yet to come as the AL collaborators are again becoming active in the country.

Demanding quick justice over the July attack and killings, he said, Awami League has lost the right to carry out political activities in the country. Abdul Kader and Rokib Rana Masud were present, among other coordinators.
