The BNP has voiced deep concern over the recent acts of vandalism and arson across the country, calling on the interim government to take strong action and restore law and order.
In a statement on Friday, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi warned that failure to control the situation could threaten the stability of both the state and government.
Rizvi emphasized the urgency of enforcing strict law and order to prevent the spread of anarchy.
He also expressed concern over provocative actions and comments linked to the fallen autocrat, which have sparked public outrage, leading to incidents such as the tearing down of monuments in several parts of the country.
The BNP leader criticized the government's failure to take visible action in the past six months to bring the autocrat and their associates to justice, warning that such inaction has encouraged illegal activities and damaged the government’s reputation both domestically and internationally.
The BNP leader said the government has failed to act as people from various walks of life create public suffering through "mob culture" on the streets over various demands.
