DHAKA: Opposition leader and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia Saturday hosted an iftar party for eminent personalities of the country.

Leaders of different organizations, teachers, social workers, artists attended the iftar at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, party sources said.

Secretary General of BNP Khandaker Delwar Hossain, Barrister Rafiqul Haq, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr Emajuddin Ahmed, senior journalist Shafiq Rehman, former DU VC Prof Moniruzzaman Mia and SMA Faiz, former Adviser of Caretaker government Mahbubul Alam, former Juctice Abdur Rauf, Dhaka Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Ruhul Amin Gazi, Singer Rabi Chowdhury, Shammi Akther, Badsha Bulbul attended the iftar.

It was the fourth iftar hosted by Begum Zia.
