DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia hosted an iftar party for political leaders on Sunday, on the third of Ramadan.

The iftar program was held at city's Bashundhara Convention Centre.

Bikalpa Dhara chairman and also former president Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) chief ASM Abdur Rob, among others, attended the event.

Among the BNP leaders, standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Lieutenant General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Brigadier General (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, MK Anwar, Dr Abdul Moin Khan and Nazrul Islam Khan and other leaders of BNP-led 20-party alliance took part at the event.

Moreover, the BNP chief will arrange an iftar program for eminent citizens and professionals at the same venue on June 22 and for diplomats at The Westin hotel in city on June 24.

Earlier on June 19, Khaleda Zia hosted iftar for Islamic scholars and orphans at Ladies Club in city’s Iskaton Garden Road.
