DHAKA: Rajshahi University Chhatra League president Awal Kabir Joy and general secretary Majedul Islam Apu were expelled Tuesday over their political colleague’s death.

BCL Central office secretary Al-Mamun-Rupak told banglanews24.com.bd that the decision against the RU BCL leaders was taken following the death of injured Chhatra League worker Nasirullah alias Nasim at Dhaka Medical College Hospital Monday.

Nasim was thrown down from the 1st floor of hall building on the RU campus on August 15 following a factional clash centering distribution of token for iftar.

“They were expelled on charge of breaking organizational discipline,” Chharta League Central Committee general secretary Mafuzul Hayder Chowdhury Roton told banglanews24.com.bd.
