AL leader’s slaughtered body recovered in city

DHAKA: Police recovered a slaughtered body of a ruling Awami League leader from city’s Demra area on Saturday noon.

The deceased has been identified as Gias Uddin, Sanarpara ward unit leader.

Demra Thana sub-inspector (SI) Kuddus confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Locals informed police after noticing the slaughtered body of Gias Uddin in a garden in the area, the SI said.

On information police rushed the place and recovered the body, he added.
