Sylhet BCL man succumbs to injuries

SYLHET: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), who was severely injured in an attack following intra-party conflict, died at a private clinic in Sylhet city on Tuesday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Habib, 24, BBA fourth year student of Sylhet International University.

Some people of his rival group stabbed Habib on the campus in city’s Shamimabad area around 11:45am, leaving him injured critically.

Hospital sources said Habib was brought to the Osmani Medical College Hospital from where he was shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mount Adora Hospital of the city as his condition was deteriorated.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital around 11:45pm.

Sylhet Kotwali Thana sub-inspector (SI) Foyaz Uddin Foyez confirmed the matter to banglanews.
