DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday morning (February 6).

Dhaka Metropolitan Police and jail security men brought him from Dhaka Central Jail to the DMCH around 10:30am amid tight security.

Central jail senior jail super Jahangir Kabir told banglanews that Mirza Abbas has been admitted at DMCH due to high level of diabetics and back pain.

Earlier on January 6, a Dhaka court sent the BNP leader to jail after his surrender to the court in two cases filed with Motijheel and Paltan thanas.
