DHAKA: Election Commission (EC) has announced that elections for 10 municipalities will be held on March 20.

The municipalities include Haragachha of Rangpur district, Kaliganj of Jhenaidah, Jhalakathi sadar, Bhanga of Faridpur, Nangalkot of Comilla, Brahmanbaria sadar, Kabirhat of Noakhali, Sonagazi of Feni and Chokoria and Moheshkhali of Cox’s Bazar.

EC election management department deputy secretary Mohammad Shahsul Alam made this announcement on Wednesday afternoon (February 10).

He further said the last date of nomination submission is February 22 while the scrutinizing will be held on February 24.

‘The last date of withdrawal of candidacy is March 4,’ the deputy secretary added.
