BHLOA: Two cases were filed against some 500 leaders and activists of the opposition BNP and its key ally Jamaat-e-Islami with Borhanuddin Thana of the district between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Police sources said Sub-Inspector (SI) of Borhanuddin police station Abul Khair filed a lawsuit, naming 45 persons and others unnamed,   on Sunday night.

A Kazi Malek filed another case against hartal supporters with Borhanuddin police station thana on Monday morning for loss of lives and destroying public properties, sources added.

Officer-in-Charge of Borhanuddin police station Enayet Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
