DHAKA: Hartal supporters blasted three hand bombs in rail crossing of Gazipur town during the second day of 60-hour nonstop nationwide hartal on Monday.

No was injured in the incident.

Witnesses said that hartal supporters set fire to a passenger laden Tempo and vandalized a waste van of Gazipur city corporation.

Meanwhile, police recovered fresh bomb and cocktail from the spot.

Confirming the matter District Police Inspector Abul Kashem told banglanews, “As the attackers fled the scene, police could not hold anyone.”

Earlier, a procession led by town BNP secretary Shukkur Ali was brought out at around 07:10am and firing rubber bullets police dispersed them.
