04 February 2012- The Inspector General of Police has ordered the Deputy Commissioners of Dhaka Metropolitan Police to be more vigilant about law and order of the city. 05 February 2012- Pallabi Police has arrested one Mollah Mizan with arms and bullets from the Pallabi area of the city. He was arrested with two pistols and 9 round of bullets from the Pallabi Post office area of the city. banglanews24.com

06 February 2012- A bill was submitted in the parliament proposing death penalty or imprisonment for life for the crimers involved in human trafficking. The home minister proposed the bill to the parliament. banglanews24.com

07 February 2012- The search committee has proposed two names to the President for appointing as the Chief Election Commissioner. The two referred persons are ex cabinet secretary Ali imam Majumder and ex secretary Kazi Rokib Uddin Ahmed. The President will appoint CEC from those two referred persons. banglanews24.com

09 February 2012- High Court has issued rule to show cause as to why the bail issued to Salahuddin Ahmed Bachchu, the younger brother of Rajiuddin Raju; the Post and telecommunication minister, will not be declared cancelled.
