DHAKA: The High Court asked the authorities concerned about what kinds of preventive measures the government has taken to fight coronavirus in the country.
The HC bench comprising of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader gave three verbal directives to Health Ministry and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday (March 5).
The bench gave the verbal directives after a report published by a news media was brought to the court’s attention.
Deputy Attorney General ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud Bashar represented the state at court.
Coronavirus, which originated in China’s Wuhan, has infected more than 94,250 people globally and caused 3,214 deaths.
