Abrar murder case shifted to Speedy Trial Tribunal

DHAKA: The government has decided to transfer the Abrar Fahad murder case to Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 of Dhaka.

Law Minister Anisul Huq approved a file in this regard on Thursday (March 12).

The case is being shifted from the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.

He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.

The deceased’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station.
