07 May 2012- The Supreme Court Monday upheld the High Court order that stayed the election process of Bangladesh Bar Council for four weeks. A five-member bench of the Appellate Division led-by senior Justice SK Sinha passed the order after hearing a Bar council plea. 08 May 2012- The High Court on Tuesday declared illegal the forced retirement before 25 years in service in Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Meanwhile, the court also directed the authorities concerned to reappoint those who were given forced retirement and got retirement allowances on condition of repaying the withdrawn allowances.
