DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday (May 30) issued arrest warrant against 18 leaders and activists of the BNP, including the party’s joint secretary general Habibun-un-Nabi Khan Sohel.  

The court of Dhaka’s senior special judge Kamrul Hasan Molla passed the order after accepting the charge-sheet against the BNP men in a case filed under explosive act in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station in the city.

The case was filed in January in 2015 during the anti-government movement enforced by the BNP-led alliance.  

Sohel was on bail in the case. But his bail was cancelled, as no initiative was taken in the court on behalf of the BNP leader.
