DHAKA: Leaders of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will meet acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah in the afternoon on Thursday (October 05).
SCBA Secretary Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon said that the acting chief justice gave them time to meet him at his chamber at 5:00 pm. “We will meet him,” he said.
Earlier, a team of senior lawyers, led SCBA President Advocate Zainul Abedin, plead to the acting chief justice to enquire about the condition of Chief Justice SK Sinha.
During the hearing, Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah requested the leaders of the Bar Association to meet him at his chamber. He, however, told the senior SC lawyers that he is sure that Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha is currently in his government quarter.
At the time, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, former presidents of the Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister Mainul Hossain, Advocate Khandker Mahbub Hossain and AJ Mohammad Ali and former judge of the Supreme Court Justice Nazrul Islam also attended in the courtroom.
