GAZIPUR: Nine persons were sentenced to death for killing a college student in Gazipur in 2010.

Judge of Additional District and Sessions Court-1 of Gazipur Md Fazle Elahi on Wednesday (October 25) delivered the verdict in presence of five of the convicts.  

Police inspector of Gazipur court Rabiul Islam said that the four other convicts in the case are on the run.

The college student- Sohag was killed on the premise of Bhawal Rajbari in Gazipur in 2010. He was a third year student of political science department of the Bhawal Badre Alam Government College.

Later, Sohag’s father Abul Hashem Sufi filed a case in this connection with Joydevpur police station.
