SIRAJGANJ: A mobile court sentenced a youth to six months of prison for teasing a college girl in Ullahpara upazila of the district.

Md. Arifuzzaman, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) also Executive Magistrate, gave the verdict on Sunday noon (April 28).

The convict was, identified as Sirajul, 25, son of Asmat Ali, a resident of Datpur area of the upazila.

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, clerk of the court Ripon Kumar Biswas said Sirajul was teasing a girl at bus stand area, at that time; locals caught him red-handed and handed him over to police. Later, he was brought before the mobile court. Upon his confession, he was given six months of imprisonment.
