RAJSHAHI: Islami Bank Medical College Hospital-Rajshahi student Maldivian model Raudha Athif took her own life, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) said in the final report. 

PBI Sub Inspector (SI) Saidur Rahman filed the report to Rajshahi Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Wednesday (May 29) afternoon.

The court directed PBI for further investigation into the case, on August 18 in 2018. 

"No evidence of murder was traced in the incident," said investigation officer of the case SI Saidur Rahman. 

Raudha committed suicide over her breakup in a love affair. Her last received call was from her boyfriend Shahi Ghani.

Her last sent message was "You killed me. I feel dead. Nothing is left for me to do", added the SI. 

However, police recovered the hanging body of Vogue featured model Raudha from her dormitory room of Islami Bank Medical College on March 29, 2017. 

She was a 2nd year student of MBBS 13th batch in the college.

Raudha’s father Dr Mohamed Athif filed a murder case with the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Rajshahi on April 10.

She was buried in Rajshahi upon completion of the autopsy on April 1.

The body was exhumed from Hetom Kha graveyard in Rajshahi on April 24 for re-autopsy.
