DHAKA: The High Court has directed the persons concerned to write post mortem report clearly.
A bench of Justice ANM Bashir Ullah and Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam on Monday (July 8) passed the order.
In the order, the doctor who wrote the report has also been asked to write his name and designation clearly.
The law and health secretaries have been asked to take necessary measures to enforce this order.
The court passed the orders today when it upheld life term imprisonment of lone accused in killing a child after rape in Jhikargachha of Jashore in 2003.
The court gave the order as the information given in the autopsy report is unclear.
According to prosecution, the convict murdered the five-year-girl of Rabiul Islam of Bamankhali village of the upazila after raping her on July 1, 2003.
Later, Abdul Kader, cousin of the rape victim, was arrested in the case and gave confessional statement before the court.
Then on August 31 that year, police submitted charge sheet against him.
Later on February 11, 2007, Jashore Women and Children Repression Prevention Special Tribunal sentenced Abdul Kader to life term imprisonment.
And then, the accused appealed before the High Court against the lower court verdict.
Deputy Attorney General Md. Aminul Islam said that during this appeal hearing, the autopsy report was unclear. The judges have faced difficulty reading and understanding the report.
For this reason, the court gave instructions to doctors for writing clear autopsy report as the plaintiff, lawyers and judges can understand.
