DHAKA: Two sedition cases were filed on Sunday (July 21) with lower court against Priya Saha for making false allegation on Bangladesh situation to the US President Donald Trump.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman filed the first case against Priya Shaha with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ziaur Rahman.

Dhaka Bar Council executive committee member Advocate Ibrahim Khalil filed the second case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian.

In the petition, the petitioner sought court order for issuance of arrest warrant against Priya Saha.

Priya Saha complained to US President Donald Trump about oppression of minorities in Bangladesh. That complaint went viral in social media.
