DHAKA: As per a preliminary inquiry into and after consultation with the President, three High Court justices of the Supreme Court have been informed of the decision to refrain from discharging their duties.
Later, the three justices applied for leave.
Mohammad Saifur Rahman, Special Officer of the High Court Division, said this on Thursday (August 22).
In his office, the Supreme Court official said that the three judges were asked to discontinue from judicial activities after consultation with President Abdul Hamid based on outcome of a primary investigation. They later submitted applications for leave.
They were not named on the bench’s cause-list set by the Supreme Court on Thursday.
