BARGUNA: Ayesha Siddika Minni, no-7 accused in the sensational murder case of Barguna youth Rifat Sharif, has been released from Barguna prison after High Court bail order copy reached Barguna court on Tuesday (September 3).
She was released at 4:30pm.
Minni did not speak to reporters after release at jail gate because of court ban. She was directly taken to her father’s house at Moita area by an ambulance.
The signed copy of HC bail order for Minni reached the Barguna court around 12 pm, Minni’s lawyer Mahbubul Bari Aslam said.
Charge sheet was submitted against 24 persons, including no-7 accused Ayesha Siddika Minni in the sensational murder case of Barguna youth Rifat Sharif.
A press release, sent by the Superintendent of Police (BG) of special branch of Barguna, issued on Sunday (September 1) in this regard.
After the investigation, the charge sheet was submitted to the court accusing 20 persons. Besides, a plea was made to free the main accused of the case, Nayan Bond, who was killed in a gunfight.
Ayesha Siddiqa Minni, wife of slain youth Rifat Sharif, was arrested for her alleged involvement in the murder as well for the sake of proper investigation of the case.
22-year-old Rifat Sharif, from Barguna sadar upazila, was hacked to death indiscriminately by Minni's alleged former husband Nayan Bond and his aides in broad daylight in front of Barguna Government College on June 26.
A shocking video of the brutal attack went viral on the social media, sparking widespread outrage and demand for justice from the countrymen.
