CHATTOGRAM: Police pressed a charge sheet against five persons including Tanjila Huq Chowdhury Mitu for instigating her husband Dr Mostofa Morshed Akash to commit suicide in Chattogram. 

Investigation officer of the case also Chandgaon Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Kader placed the charge-sheet with Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Court Monday (September 9).

Four other accused with charges are-- Mitu's mother Shamima Shelly, father Anisul Huq Chowdhury, sister Sanjila Huq Chowdhury Alisha and alleged friend Dr Mahbubul Alam. 

Another accused of the case, India national Uttam Patel, has been excluded as he resided in United States and hadn't any involvement in committing crime in Bangladesh, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) Mohammad Kamruzzaman. 

32-year-old Akash reportedly took own life by pushing toxic injection at his Chandgaon residential area residence at early hours of January 31.

Before quitting, he raised extra-marital and cheating issues of her physician wife Mitu in Facebook status. 

Police detained Mitu from Nandankan area at the very night. She walked out of jail on bail in August last week while the other accused are absconding.
