DHAKA: A Dhaka Metropolitan court sent seven body guards of SM Golam Kibria Shamim to jail in a case filed for operating illegal casino business in Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Habibur Rahman Chowdhury on Thursday (September 26) also fixed September 29 (Sunday) for rehearing bail petition in the case.

Investigation officer of the case police inspector Fazlul Haque produced the accused before the court seeking four days of remand on Thursday.

The seven accused are-- Md Delwar Hossain, Md Murad Hossain, Md Jahidul Islam, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Kamal Hossain, Md Samsad Hossaim and Md Aminul Islam.

Rapid Action Battalion detained Jubo League central committee leader SM Golam Kibria Shamim on Friday (September 20).

RAB seized huge amount of money, foreign currency, a firearm, drugs, liquor, and FDR cheque worth Taka 200 crore from his office in Niketan area of the capital on Friday afternoon.
