DHAKA: A Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court placed Jubo League Dhaka South Organizing Secretary Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan on ten days of remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Didar Hossen gave the order on Friday (September 27).
Investigation officer of the case as well as Assistant Police Commissioner of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) Belayet Hossen sought 20 days of remand in the two cases lodged over possessing illegal arms and narcotics. However, the court granted 10 days in other words 5 days for each case.
Earlier, on Thursday (September 19), Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahamuda Akther placed Khaled on seven days of remand.
Jubo League expelled alleged Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan from the party for running an illegal casino, Jubo League’s general secretary Harun Ar Rashid told Banglanews on Friday (September 20).
Earlier, four separate cases were filed against Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, who was arrested for running an illegal casino.
RAB arrested Khalid from his Gulshan residence on Wednesday (September 18).
Police seized one shotgun, two pistols, 57 rounds of shotgun bullets, 53 rounds of pistol bullets and 585 pieces of yaba pills from his residence. Besides, they also seized Taka 10, 34,550 cash and foreign currency worth Taka 7 lakhs.
