DHAKA: A Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court placed three staff of Fu-Wang Bowling & Services ltd at Tejgaon of the capital on eight days of remand.

The magistrate Atiqul Islam gave remand order on Saturday (September 28).

Four days are in the case filed under Special Powers Act while the other four days are in Narcotics Control Act.

The accused were—cashier of the club Jahidur Rahman Miah, staff Chanchal Palma and Jeviar Jerry D. Konta.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion in a raid seized huge amounts of illegally imported cigarettes and cans of beer and alcohol from Fu Wang Club on Thursday (Sep 26).

Later, the elite force also detained three staff during the drive from the club on charge of selling alcohol beyond the permissible limit of the license.

Earlier, on Monday (September 23), law enforcers raided the, but found no equipment of illegal gambling or casino there.
