The High Court on Monday summoned Sarwar Alam, executive magistrate of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) for not submitting the copy of an order issued by him.

Sarwar Alam has been asked to appear before it on December 1 for giving an explanation.

The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahma issued the order after hearing a writ petition filed by an accused sentenced by the mobile court.

In the rule, the HC wanted to know why the attested copy of the order will not be submitted by five working days.

Secretaries of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Home Ministry, Narayanganj deputy commissioner and district magistrate, director general of Rapid Action Battalion, executive magistrate Sarwar Alam, also the additional magistrate of Narayanganj have been made respondent to the rule.
