Attach properties of 4 fugitives in Abrar murder case: Court BUET student Abrar Fahad.

DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday (Dec 03) directed authorities concerned to attach properties of the four fugitive accused in the case filed over the killing of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

Four fugitive accused are --the BCL unit Deputy Office Secretary Mustafa Rafid and its members Morsheduzzaman Jishan, Ehtashamul Rabbi Tanim and Morshed Amartya Islam.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Kaiserrul Islam passed the order this morning.

Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET(Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology), was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders of BUET unit at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.

Abrar's father filed a murder case against 19 people with Chawkbazar police station on the day of the murder. 

On October 11, BUET authorities banned all political activities on the campus and suspended all the 19 accused of the murder case.

On November 13, Detective Branch (DB) of Police submitted a charge sheet against 25 accused in the murder case to the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Kairsarul Islam On November 18, the same court accepted the charge sheet against 25 accused in the case.

The court also issued an arrest warrant against four fugitive accused as the investigation officer showed them absconding in the charge sheet.

Md Kaiserrul Islam passed the order after scrutinising the case docket and other relevant documents. The court fixed December 3 for the submission of reports on the execution on arrest warrant.
