DHAKA: The government handed over a cheque of Tk 99, 217, 3074 as the cost of Moon Cinema Hall and its land to the Managing Director of Bangladesh Italian Marble Works Ltd Maksudul Alam.

Moon Cinema Hall is located on Waiz Ghat Road in Old Dhaka.

The government handed over the cheque to the Appellate Division on Tuesday (December 17).

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam stood for the state while Barrister Ajmalul Hossain QC  argued for Moon Cinema Hall.

Now the land of the hall is to be registered in the name of Freedom Fighters’ Welfare Trust (FFWT) by today, tomorrow or at a convenient time.
