DHAKA: The trial proceedings against BNP-nominated mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election Ishraque Hossain have begun in a case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam of the Special Judge Court-4 of Dhaka framed charges against Ishraque Hossain on Wednesday (January 15).

The court also fixed February 9 for recording testimony in the case.

ACC filed the case for not submitting his wealth statement, said Akkas Ali, Assistant Inspector of ACC.
