Bashundhara Group pays back default loans of 37 farmers

Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, has paid back the default borrowings of 37 farmers of Pabna.

Earlier, the largest corporate body of the country secured release of 12 farmers who were imprisoned for defaulting on loans.

Noted author and Kaler Kantho editor-in-chief Imdadul Haq Milan handed over cheque to Jharna Prova Devi, acting manager of the Pabna branch of the Samabaya Bank.

The whole amount of dues including capital and interest was paid back at a programme at the daily Kaler Kantho auditorium at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday.
