DHAKA: Police held three top female leaders of BNP, including its vice-chairman Selima Rahman, from the premises of BNP Chairperson’s Gushan residence in the capital on Monday noon.

The other detainees are- Member of Parliament (reserved) Rasheda Begum Hira and former MP (reserved) Newaz Halima Arli.

Sources said that the BNP leaders thronged the area at around 1:15pm.

Later, a police picked them up on a white-colored microbus and sent to Gulshan police station.
