GAIBANDHA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) were withdrawn for their failure to perform duties address 10th national poll in three constituencies in the district.

They are DC Jahurul Islam Rohel and SP Sajid Hossain.

Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Farhad Hossain confirmed the matter on Monday.

On January 5, EC postponed to commence the 10th parliamentary polls in three constituencies of the district for violent and sabotaging activisms by Jamaat-Shibir and 18-party activists.
