DHAKA: The period of Army deployment has been extended in eight constituencies where voting was suspended during 10th national parliament election.

Inter-Service Public Relations Department in a press release disclosed the matter Friday.

According to the press release, election will be held in Dinajpur-4, Kurigram-4, Bogra-7, Jessore-5, Laxmipur-1, Gaibandha-1, 3 and 4 constituencies.

Following the re-voting, Election Commission has taken decision for free, fair and credible election in those areas.

Armed forces will be deployed as striking force till January 17 in the constituencies.
