DHAKA: With Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, the first meeting of newly formed cabinet started on Thursday morning, breaking the general rule of holding cabinet meeting on Monday.

Confirming the matter, deputy-chief Information officer AFM Aminul Islam told banglanews that the meeting started around 10:15am at the conference room of the cabinet division.

On Monday (January 13), cabinet division sent new briefcases, folders and agenda of meeting to the new ministers.

On January 12, the 49-member cabinet comprising 29 ministers, 17 state minister and two deputy ministers take oath.
