DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed their profound shock at the death of legendary actress Suchitra Sen.

PM’s press secretary Abul Kalam Azad and President’s press wing confirmed the matter banglanews.

In the condolence message Prime Minister said that Bengalis lost a distinctive figure of classical Bengali daughter, wife and caring mother at her death.

She will remain ever in memory of Bengali people as an inspiration for making ameliorative cinemas on Bengali literature and culture for her extraordinary performance.
 
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also expressed her deep sympathy for the bereaved family members, relatives and friends of Suchitra Sen.

Legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, who is undergoing treatment at Belle Vue Clinic for serious respiratory problems, passed away due to a heart attack on Friday morning.
