LAMA, BANDARBAN: A police man was killed and his wife injured in a road accident in Chunki area of Chittagong-Cox’s bazaar road on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as constable M Ishak, son of Imam Uddin of Thakurgaon district. He was posted at Bandarban Thana.  

Witness said Ishak was going to Bandarban, at his workplace from Chakaria with his wife by a motorcycle around 11:00am. When he reached at Chunti, a passenger bus knocked his motorcycle down, leaving him dead on the spot and injured his wife.

Injured was admitted to Lohagora health complex in critical condition.

Lohagora Thana officer-in-charge Shajahan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
