NARAYANGANJ: A dacoit was lynched at Sonargaon municipality of the district on Thursday night.  

Identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

Locals and police sources said a group of dacoit stormed and looted Tk 10 lakh and huge amount of gold ornament from no-3 word councilor Lion Mosharraf Hossain’s house.        

When dacoits were fleeing the scene after robbery, villagers chased them and caught one dacoit and gave a good beat which leaving him dead.

Sonargaon Thana officer-in-charge Atiqur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
