An auto rickshaw driver named Mejbah Uddin was killed after being hit by a goods-laden lorry in Sitakunda.

The incident happened at 2 pm in Magpukur area of Upazila on Wednesday (June 19).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baro Auliya Highway Police Station Khokon Chandra Ghosh confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said a speed guns were being used to monitor reckless vehicles on the highway to prevent accidents. At that time, when a lorry was signaled to stop, the accompanying auto-rickshaw abruptly turned and collided with the lorry.
